Multiplicity
of Pursuits

Rules

Objective: Inspire revolutionary ideas and motivate extraordinary life choices through thought-provoking questions and discussion.

Number of Players: 3 or more (or grab a journal and play solo!).

Components:

Black Question Cards (with blank spaces)

Red Answer Cards

Instructions:

Shuffle the deck of Black Question Cards and the deck of Red Answer Cards separately.

Each player selects 10 Red Answer Cards from the deck.

The youngest player becomes the first “Revolutionary Leader.” The role of Revolutionary Leader will rotate clockwise after each round.

The Revolutionary Leader draws a Black Question Card from the deck and reads it out loud to the other players.

Each player (except the Revolutionary Leader) selects a Red Answer Card from their hand that they think best completes the Black Question Card. They place their chosen Red Answer Card face down on the table.

Once all players have placed a Red Answer Card on the table, the Revolutionary Leader shuffles the face-down Answer Cards to ensure anonymity.

The Revolutionary Leader then reads the Black Question Card again, filling in the blank with each of the submitted Answer Cards one at a time.

After reading all the combinations, the Revolutionary Leader chooses their favorite pairing of the Question and Answer Cards. The player who submitted the winning Answer Card receives a point.

All used Question and Answer Cards are discarded, and each player draws a new Red Answer Card to replace the one they used, ensuring they always have 10 Red Answer Cards in their hand.

Optional: The Revolutionary Leader can share why they selected their favorite card, especially if it sparked a thought-provoking response!

The role of Revolutionary Leader moves clockwise to the next player, and a new round begins.

The game continues until a player reaches 11 points, or until players agree to end the game. The player with the most points wins.

Note: Encourage players to ask questions and engage in candid discussions about the ideas generated during the game, as this is an opportunity for them to learn, reconsider their preconceived notions about social impact engagement, and discover new pathways to help achieve their aspirations.
